Three decades after Gratex International helped redefine Slovak audiovisual production with the pioneering 1995 music video Balada o štyroch koňoch, our Media Team has once again partnered with legendary jazz musician Peter Lipa – this time to deliver Slovakia's first fully AI-generated music video, 4 kone v NOLA.
In 1995, the original clip broke new ground through the exclusive use of computer graphics, combining 3D virtual reality, 2D animation, and digitally processed live footage. It went on to win Best Music Video of 1995 at the Grand Prix of the Slovak Union of Authors and Performers. Thirty years later, the Gratex Media Team has revisited that creative spirit using an entirely new generation of tools – ChatGPT-4, Perplexity, and OpenAI's generative model SORA – with image refinement in dedicated graphics suites and final editing in Adobe Premiere Pro. Total production time: 39 days.
"Just as thirty years ago, we used the best that modern technology has to offer," Peter Lipa said at the unveiling. "It is a synthesis of old and new — yet the creative process remains the same."
The project reaffirms Gratex International's long-standing commitment to bridging technology and the arts, and signals further AI-driven creative collaborations to come.
