What does it take to turn cutting-edge AI research into solutions that actually reach the market? That question shaped the InnovAIte Slovakia Kick-off Conference, held on 29 October 2025 at the Holiday Inn Trnava under the motto "From research to solutions – AI that drives real-world impact.
"As the consortium leader, Gratex International helped frame a day of keynotes, panels, and working sessions dedicated to the four sectors where the project will deliver concrete outcomes: smart, energy-efficient buildings; safer roads and AI-driven traffic systems; automated software engineering; and digital transformation in insurance. Speakers and participants from academia, the public sector, startups, and industry explored how interdisciplinary collaboration – supported by Slovak, Czech, and German excellence partners – can shorten the path from laboratory to deployment.
InnovAIte Slovakia is being implemented from April 2025 to September 2027 with EUR 14.84 million in funding from the Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Slovak Republic. The Kick-off Conference established the foundation for the project's eight work packages and set a clear ambition: to position Slovakia as a meaningful contributor to the European AI innovation landscape.
