Gratex Shapes the AI-Driven Future of Insurance at InnovAIte Slovakia

Insurance is entering its biggest transformation in decades – and at the InnovAIte Slovakia conference in Trnava, Gratex International helped frame what that transformation will look like.

Gratex representative Stanislav Vasiľko highlighted three shifts already underway: AI-driven accident prevention through telematics and predictive analytics; near-instant automated claims settlement powered by computer vision and machine learning; and hyper-personalised pricing based on real customer behaviour rather than broad demographics.

"Insurers can no longer afford to spend days processing straightforward claims. Those that fail to integrate advanced machine learning into their workflows will be outpaced by their competition," Vasiľko said.

He also drew attention to the ethical dimension of AI in insurance, noting that algorithmic bias and data-quality bias remain critical research areas within Gratex's contribution to InnovAIte Slovakia: Illuminating Pathways for AI-Driven Breakthroughs –  a 30-month initiative supported by Slovakia's Recovery and Resilience Plan and dedicated to AI that is technologically advanced, ethical, sustainable, and socially beneficial.
